It is argued that this image articulates other significant elements in the work of the poet, such as play, power and grief, with what is constituted as a key element in the demystification of the story of happy motherhood.  En el presente artículo se analizarán los poemas “Fútbol”, “Toy”, “Casa de cuervos”, “Dolor de corazón” y “Si me escucharas”, provenientes de diversos poemarios de la poeta Blanca Varela, con el objetivo de indagar en torno a la representación del hijo, aspecto fundamental del tema de la maternidad.
