Undoubtedly, his text was the first detailed vision of the splendor of the Andean country and its highly developed culture.El presente artículo estudia uno de los textos más importantes con los que se inicia la prosa castellana en el Perú: el relato de Miguel de Estete en pos del santuario más grande de la mar del Sur, Pachacámac. En un momento en que la historia era un género literario, este trabajo examina los lugares artísticos del discurso narrativo de este singular escritor. Sin duda, su texto fue la primera visión detenida del esplendor del país andino y de su alto desarrollo cultural.Dans cet article nous étudions un des textes les plus importants parmi ceux qui marquent les débuts de la prose en espagnol au Pérou : le récit de Miguel de Estete, à la recherche du plus grand sanctuaire des mers du sud, Pachacámac. À un moment où l’histoire était un genre littéraire, notre recherche étudie les lieux artistiques du discours narratif de ce singulier écrivain.
