This paper compares, for the first time, the reflective writings of these two poets. It closely examines their treatment of mystery and some of its manifestations: nature, death, dreams, children, women, and the self.Con unas preocupaciones y unos intereses parecidos, y de manera paralela a su poesía, Juan Ramón Jiménez y José María Eguren escribieron una obra en prosa de carácter reflexivo alrededor de temas comunes como el arte, la belleza y la muerte. En estos textos se observa una especial atención hacia lo desconocido, que surge cuando lo invisible (o espiritual) entra en contacto con lo visible (o material). En este artículo se ponen en comparación, por primera vez, los escritos reflexivos de estos dos poetas.
