La investigación fue tipo descriptiva de corte transversal con un diseño no experimental, siendo la variable de estudio el nivel de conocimiento que tienen acerca de la tartamudez los profesionales de la salud que participaron en el estudio. Para la medición de estas variables se aplicó un cuestionario a los pediatras, el cual fue elaborado, validado y aprobado a través del juicio de expertos. Los datos obtenidos del instrumento aplicado fueron procesados estadísticamente mediante el IBM SPSS versión 23. Los resultados de la investigación muestran que el nivel predominante de conocimiento acerca de la tartamudez que tienen los médicos pediatras, corresponde al nivel medio (48,6%).

The sample consisted of 35 pediatricians who work in hospitals of the Ministry of Health (MINSA), such as: National Institute of Child Health (INSN), National Teaching Hospital Madre Niño San Bartolomé, Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo. The research was descriptive, cross-sectional with a non-experimental design, the study variable being the level of knowledge that the health professionals who participated in the study have about stuttering. To measure these variables, a questionnaire was applied to the pediatricians, which was prepared, validated and approved through expert judgment. The data obtained from the applied instrument were statistically processed using IBM SPSS version 23.
