También atendió a las familias damnificadas como consecuencia de los efectos que produjo el Fenómeno del Niño Costero, principalmente en los departamentos de la costa norte del país. El componente social de los proyectos de mejoramiento de viviendas es fundamental para garantizar una ejecución ordenada y responsable de las construcciones a realizar. El fortalecimiento de capacidades a nivel local es uno de los ejes centrales de la intervención del programa. Hemos tenido casos de un alto grado de crisis y conflictividad en la ejecución de las obras, en las que se manifestaron variadas situaciones referidas a aspectos sociales, políticos culturales y de capacidad y honestidad en el manejo de los recursos públicos. El Programa Nacional de Vivienda Rural, a través de sus intervenciones, ha logrado mejorar de manera significativa, la calidad de vida de las familias atendidas.

El Programa Nacional de Vivienda Rural, a través de sus intervenciones, ha logrado mejorar de manera significativa, la calidad de vida de las familias atendidas.The National Rural Housing Program addresses the qualitative housing deficit of the poorest and most vulnerable rural families, mainly located in high Andean areas and jungle fringes, through the construction of housing modules that provide conditions of earthquake resistance and thermal comfort. It also assisted families affected by the impacts of the Coastal El Niño phenomenon, primarily in the northern coastal departments of the country. The social component of housing improvement projects is essential to ensure an orderly and responsible execution of the constructions to be carried out. The strengthening of capacities at the local level is one of the central axes of the program's intervention. We have encountered cases of a high degree of crisis and conflict in the execution of the works, where various situations related to social, political, cultural aspects, and the capacity and honesty in the management of public resources were manifested.
