Segundo, la dependencia de las lluvias estacionales y la infraestructura hídrica limitada generan vulnerabilidad, especialmente en los meses secos. Tercero, las familias emplean estrategias tradicionales pero estas podrían llegar a ser insuficientes ante la variabilidad climática. Este estudio aporta evidencia para diseñar políticas hídricas y alimentarias efectivas y centradas en las necesidades reales de la comunidad.

This research analyzes how access to water affects food security in Lachaqui. Through interviews and surveys of adult residents engaged in agricultural activities, it was identified, first, that there is a critical relationship between water scarcity, household economy and food. Second, dependence on seasonal rains and limited water infrastructure generate vulnerability, especially in dry months. Third, households employ traditional strategies, but these may be insufficient in the face of climate variability.
