La Prueba Exploratoria de Escritura Cursiva (P.E.E.C.) de Condemarín y Chadwick y la Ficha de registro de patrón prensil del lápiz de Brigitte Córdova Camargo se administró a una muestra de 46 estudiantes. Los resultados han demostrado que: un 80,5% de la población entre tercero y cuarto grado aún están fortaleciendo las habilidades motoras para representar la grafía de la escritura cursiva. Un 84,8% de la misma población se encuentra afianzando los patrones caligráficos lo cual afecta la legibilidad de la escritura. Por el contrario, un 54,3% de la población mencionada hace uso de una adecuación prensión del instrumento de escritura. Por lo tanto, se sugiere entrenar en la correcta representación de la grafía, fortalecer la enseñanza de los patrones caligráficos para que estos no afecten la legibilidad al momento de escribir y enseñar al estudiante el uso adecuado de la prensión del instrumento de escritura para lograr movimientos más fluidos, rápidos y legibles. Se concluye que: a) en los errores de la grafía no existen diferencias significativas entre tercero y cuarto grado, (b) en patrones caligráficos no existen diferencias significativas entre ambos grados, y (c) en la ejecución motriz si existen diferencias significativas entre estudiantes de tercer y cuarto grado.

Non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional and comparative design. The Condemarín and Chadwick Cursive Writing Exploratory Test (P.E.E.C.) and Brigitte Córdova Camargo's Pencil Prehensile Pattern Record Sheet were administered to a sample of 46 students. The results have shown that: 80.5% of the population between third and fourth grade are still strengthening motor skills to represent the spelling of cursive writing. 84.8% of the same population is consolidating calligraphic patterns, which affects the legibility of writing. On the contrary, 54.3% of the aforementioned population makes use of an adequate grasp of the writing instrument. Therefore, it is suggested to train in the correct representation of the spelling, strengthen the teaching of calligraphic patterns so that they do not affect legibility when writing and teach the student the proper use of the grip of the writing instrument to achieve movements. smoother, faster and more readable.
