Las principales investigaciones referentes al fútbol en nuestro país surgen en la década de los 90’s con la finalidad de explorar el surgimiento de un fenómeno social de gran envergadura como lo fue la constitución de las barras de fútbol de los clubes más representativos: La Trinchera Norte perteneciente al Club Universitario de Deportes y el Comando Sur, del Club Alianza Lima, entre otras. Un ejemplo de ello es el estudio realizado por Castro (1994) en donde se exploró el proceso de constitución y fundación de la barra U-Norte (posteriormente denominada Trinchera Norte); la cual, fue creada, en primer lugar, por un factor socioeconómico que terminó por desplazar la imagen que se tenía de la “U” y que estaba asociada a un equipo de clases acomodadas y medias. |
