The study sample consisted of 14 children divided randomly and deliberately into an experimental group and a control group; the training program was applied only to the first group, a pre and post assessment of phonological awareness (PECO) were used in both groups. Researchers validated a general hypothesis and specific hypotheses, as the program showed a significant global increase in phonological acquisition, on its syllabic and phonemic levels, and in the addition and omission tasks.

La muestra del estudio estuvo conformada por 14 niños divididos deliberada y aleatoriamente en grupo experimental y grupo control; al primero se le aplicó el programa de entrenamiento en tanto que al otro grupo no. A ambos grupos se les aplicó una pre y una post evaluación del conocimiento fonológico (PECO).
