Los sujetos fueron evaluados utilizando una entrevista semiestructurada diseñada para los propósitos de la investigación y un cuestionario adaptado sobre percepción de riesgo (Bayés et al 1995-1996) De manera general, hemos encontrado que las representaciones del VIH/SIDA están plagadas de una afectividad negativa y asociadas permanentemente a la muerte y al sexo y que la percepción de riesgo a la enfermedad es baja en el grupo. Asimismo, existen algunas variables sociales, culturales y situacionales que ejercen una influencia importante en el desarrollo de prácticas de riesgo

The subjects were assessed using a semi-structured interview, designed specially for the purposes of this investigation, and were also assessed using the Risk Perception Questionnaire (Bayés et. al., 1995, 1996). HIV/AIDS representations includes negate affectivity and are associated with death and sex. Self-perception of being at risk is low.
