Esto ha provocado una distancia natural y tácita entre el médico solicitante del estudio y quien lo lleva a cabo, con consecuencias deletéreas en la comunicación y entrega de información efectiva entre colegas y el consiguiente menoscabo en la calidad y pertinencia del resultado clínico que debemos entregar a nuestros pacientes.For a long time, radiological practice was characterized by a model in which the specialist operated separately from both the clinical team and the patient, with interactions largely limited to the interpretation of imaging reports. This approach fostered a natural and implicit disconnect between the referring physician and the radiologist, leading to deleterious consequences for communication and the effective exchange of clinical information among colleagues.
