The Mining Cadastre Directorate is responsible for managing the National Pre-Mining Cadastre, the National Mining Cadastre, and the Cadastre of Restricted Areas for Mining Activity. The Mining Cadastre is the graphical and alphanumeric inventory that includes mining rights in process, mining concessions, beneficiation concessions, as well as general and transportation concessions, all located within the national territory. The Cadastre of Restricted Areas to mining activity is a georeferenced database of graphical and alphanumeric information that identifies areas restricted for mining activities as established by the Peruvian State under national legislation. These include protected natural areas, archaeological monuments, archaeological heritage, buffer zones of protected natural areas, forest expansion zones, special projects, and others. This cadastre is updated and maintained with cartographic, alphanumeric, and legal information provided by the competent authorities.
