Even though extant literature assumes that KIBS firms are innovators, there is evidence that not all KIBS are equally innovative. Our exploratory research uses data gathered from the National Survey of Innovation in the manufacturing and KIBS industries and uses the LOGIT model on a sample of 311 Peruvian KIBS firms. The effects of innovation activities, employee level of education and the sources in the supply chain on developing innovations are determined. Findings indicate that not all innovation activities positively affect innovation. We found that most of these activities are related to technological innovation, rather than non-technological innovation, and the hiring of graduated personnel favours the development of organisational innovation. However, the interplay with customers, suppliers and competitors gives no benefit concerning the development of innovation.application/pdfInglésengInderscienceCHurn:issn:1740-0589urn:issn:1740-0597info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Technological innovationNon-technological innovationInnovation activitiesKnowledge-intensive business servicesKIBSEmployees' level of educationInnovación tecnológicaInnovación no tecnológicaActividades de innovaciónServicios empresariales intensivos en conocimientoKIBSNivel de formación de los empleadoshttps://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#5.02.04Innovation in KIBS firms: the effects of innovation activities, employees’ level of education, and the sources in the supply chaininfo:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersionArtículoreponame:ESAN-Institucionalinstname:Universidad ESANinstacron:ESANhttps://orcid.org/0000-0001-6050-5754Acceso abiertoInternational Journal of Business Environment3373/431515ORIGINALPostprint_Del Carpio (2024).pdfTexto completoapplication/pdf512345https://repositorio.esan.edu.pe/bitstreams/73860106-06ab-4c4a-9c3f-70aeaa02e953/downloadefddf5cb97773f7027bbe74778726149MD51trueAnonymousREADTEXTPostprint_Del Carpio (2024).pdf.txtPostprint_Del Carpio (2024).pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain80131https://repositorio.esan.edu.pe/bitstreams/794865f3-4c6c-4bf8-a09f-d422bbe60ee2/download2af50112b5f8e040d558ced679d06fb1MD52falseAnonymousREADTHUMBNAILPostprint_Del Carpio (2024).pdf.jpgPostprint_Del Carpio (2024).pdf.jpgIM Thumbnailimage/jpeg5736https://repositorio.esan.edu.pe/bitstreams/90556a15-caf4-4ece-a95e-136fcd2a2f92/downloadfadb3f730a1ffc15b0e19ae6dec29e62MD53falseAnonymousREAD20.500.12640/4611oai:repositorio.esan.edu.pe:20.500.12640/46112025-09-02 11:35:19.16https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessopen.accesshttps://repositorio.esan.edu.peRepositorio Institucional ESANrepositorio@esan.edu.pe |
