The first author wishes to thank his hosts and the University of Antilles–Guyane for the hospitality. The research of the first author has been supported by the MEC grant (Project MTM2005-08572-C03-03, Spain), and that of the second author by the CONCYTEC (National Committee of Science and Technology) of Peru and by the CROUS (scholarship for graduate studies) of France. The authors wish to thank D. Aussel, N. Hadjisavvas and the two anonymous referees for careful reading. |

The authors wish to thank D. Aussel, N. We use this notion to characterize the subdifferentials of continuous (semi-) strictly quasiconvex functions. The proposed definition is a relaxation of the standard definition of (semi-) strict quasimonotonicity, the latter being appropriate only for operators with nonempty values. Thus, the derived results are extensions to the continuous case of the corresponding results for locally Lipschitz functions.Consejo Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación Tecnológica - ConcytecengSpringer NatureJournal of Optimization Theory and Applicationsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMathematicshttps://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#1.01.00-1Some remarks on the class of continuous (semi-)∈strictly quasiconvex functionsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articlereponame:CONCYTEC-Institucionalinstname:Consejo Nacional de Ciencia Tecnología e Innovacióninstacron:CONCYTEC#PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE#20.500.12390/743oai:repositorio.concytec.gob.pe:20.500.12390/7432024-05-30 15:36:02.369http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cbinfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessmetadata only accesshttps://repositorio.concytec.gob.peRepositorio Institucional CONCYTECrepositorio@concytec.gob.pe#PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE#<Publication xmlns="https://www.openaire.eu/cerif-profile/1.1/" id="df5651f5-c222-407f-87ef-bc7c32cfb2e8"> <Type xmlns="https://www.openaire.eu/cerif-profile/vocab/COAR_Publication_Types">http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_1843</Type> <Language>eng</Language> <Title>Some remarks on the class of continuous (semi-)∈strictly quasiconvex functions</Title> <PublishedIn> <Publication> <Title>Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications</Title> </Publication> </PublishedIn> <PublicationDate>2007</PublicationDate> <DOI>https://doi.org/10.1007/s10957-007-9182-</DOI> <SCP-Number>2-s2.0-34547244856</SCP-Number> <Authors> <Author> <DisplayName>Daniilidis A.</DisplayName> <Person id="rp01896" /> <Affiliation> <OrgUnit> </OrgUnit> </Affiliation> </Author> <Author> <DisplayName>Ramos Y.G.</DisplayName> <Person id="rp01895" /> <Affiliation> <OrgUnit> </OrgUnit> </Affiliation> </Author> </Authors> <Editors> </Editors> <Publishers> <Publisher> <DisplayName>Springer Nature</DisplayName> <OrgUnit /> </Publisher> </Publishers> <Keyword>Mathematics</Keyword>
We introduce the notion of variational (semi-) strict quasimonotonicity for a multivalued operator T relative to a nonempty subset A of X which is not necessarily included in the domain of T.
