Digital competences in older adults and access to justice: a systematic review

Summary:  Objective: to identify and systematically examine the best available scientific evidence on digital skills in older adults and access to justice available in the Scopus, Scielo, Redalyc, Dialnet and Google Scholar databases for free and from the last 5 years. Method: The search and manual review of scientific production was used as a methodology, filtering the terms of: digital competence, access to justice, the elderly and digital divide, discarding articles that are not in Spanish and that have been published in 2014 or before. Results: From the analysis and discussion of each of the articles, it was evidenced the importance of the acquisition of digital skills in older adults to achieve their access to justice, and the responsibility of the State to implement public policies that allow the inclusion of this age group in the use of new technologies.
Resumen: Objetivo: identificar y examinar sistemáticamente la mejor evidencia científica disponible sobre competencias digitales en adultos mayores y acceso a la justicia disponible en la base de datos Scopus, Scielo, Redalyc, Dialnet y Google Scholar de forma gratuita y de los últimos 5 años. Método: Se utilizó como metodología la búsqueda y revisión manual de producción científica filtrando los términos de: competencia digital, acceso a la justicia, adulto mayor y brecha digital, descartándose artículos que no estén en español y que hayan sido publicados en el 2014 o antes. Resultados: Del análisis y discusión de cada uno de los artículos se evidenció la importancia de la adquisición de competencias digitales en adultos mayores para lograr su acceso a la justicia, y de la responsabilidad del Estado de implementar políticas públicas que permitan la inclusión de este grupo etario en el uso de nuevas tecnologías.
