The author explains the evolution of what a report has inside until it became into an Integrated Report, in response to the need of legitimacy of the companies. The International Integrated Report Council (IIRC), created in 2010, proposed a referential frame for identifying the information to be included in an Integrated Report in order to assess the capacity of an organization to create value and to obtain “organizational legitimacy”.
La autora explica la evolución del contenido de los reportes hasta llegar a los reportes integrados a la luz de la necesidad de legitimación de las empresas. En ese sentido, destaca la creación del Consejo Internacional de Reportes Integrados (IIRC por su sigla en inglés) que propone un marco de referencia que identifique la información que debe incluirse en un reporte integrado con el fin de evaluar la capacidad de una organización para crear valor y de esa manera obtener“legitimidad organizacional”.
