This article is about faith and religious beliefs, their meaning and the rational possibility of religious fact. Arguments are raised and discussed for and against the act of faith. The possibility and characteristics of the act of faith are described and the appropriate and inadequate positions before the Absolute are analyzed. Reason and faith are the two wings with the human spirit rising towards the contemplation of the truth. The conclusion is that "Hidden God" might only be known through the experience of personal faith --Nihil intelligitur nisi diligitur-- (you only understand what you love) by Saint Augustine.
El presente artículo trata de la fe y las creencias religiosas, su significado y la posibilidad racional del hecho religioso. Se plantean y discuten argumentos a favor y en contra del acto de fe. Se describen la posibilidad y características del acto de fe y se analizan posturas adecuadas e inadecuadas ante el Absoluto. La razón y la fe son las dos alas con las cuales el espíritu humano se eleva hacia la contemplación de la verdad. Se concluye postulando que al “Dios escondido” solo se le puede conocer a través de la experiencia de fe personal --Nihil intelligitur nisi diligitur-- (Solo se comprende lo que se ama) de san Agustín.
