In addition, they carried out projects of the International Education and Resource Network (IEARN), which allowed to strengthen the communication skills of adolescents and establish a learning community with several countries.Se presenta la experiencia de un proyecto de lectura dirigido a estudiantes de séptimo grado de una escuela del Departamento de Educación de Puerto Rico durante los años 2013-2015. Los estudiantes universitarios, maestros en formación del Programa de Español secundario de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, ofrecieron clases de Español mediante una metodología activa y contextualizada y emplearon diversas estrategias con el fin mejorar el clima escolar y el aprovechamiento académico.
