This article presents the main features of the reform of the system of higher education of the countries of the European Community, for the purpose of setting up a European area of higher education, integrated into the research. The purpose that guides this agreement of educational integration is to converge the sound systems of higher education of the European countries towards a more transparent common system, characterized by an architecture based on three cycles (Bachelor, master and doctorate). To that end, the States undertake to develop a national framework of reference for all the titles of their systems of higher education and a general frame of reference for all the existing titles in the field of the European area of higher education in 2010.
En el presente artículo se presentan las características más destacables de la Reforma del Sistema de Educación Superior de los países de la Comunidad Europea, con fines de configurar un Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior, integrado al de Investigación. El objetivo que guía este acuerdo de integración educativa es hacer converger los sistemas racionales de instrucción superior de los Países europeos hacia un sistema común más transparente, caracterizado por una arquitectura basada en tres ciclos (licenciatura, maestría y doctorado). Para el efecto, los Estados se comprometen a elaborar un cuadro nacional de referencia para todos los títulos de sus sistemas de educación superior y un cuadro general de referencia para todos los títulos existentes en el ámbito del Espacio Europeo de la educación superior en el 2010.
