Level maternal and child health and family planning

To discuss the issue have proposed we should review some important concepts about health and conditions of it that are applicable to maternal and child health in order to establish the relationship between her and family planning, as a preventive factors that will allow maintain the highest standards of individual and collective health. There is a definition of health which is issued by the WHO, which is considered utopian, but we must admit that it involves all the factors that will affect the level of health and therefore is quite real, the difficulty of understanding it is that we define health through negative indicators such as for example the morbidity and mortality, whereas this definition presents to health in a positive way, as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being. This confuses us as we are unable to measure it in those terms. But when we think deeply, especially when we take preventive action this statement is the theoretical framework, most important reference that we must continue to perform efficiently and effectively health actions.
Para discutir el tema que nos han propuesto debemos revisar algunos conceptos relevantes sobre la salud y factores condicionantes de ella que son aplicables a la salud Materno Infantil para luego establecer la relación que existe entre ella y la planificación familiar, como medio preventivo que va a permitir mantener los mejores niveles de salud individual y colectiva. Existe una definición de salud que es la emitida por la OMS, que se considera utópica, pero debemos admitir que ella involucra todos los factores que van a condicionar el nivel de salud y por lo tanto es bastante real, la dificultad de entenderla estriba en que nosotros definimos a la salud por medio de indicadores negativos como son por ejemplo la morbilidad y mortalidad, mientras que dicha definición presenta a la salud en forma positiva, como el completo estado de bienestar físico, mental y social. Esto nos confunde ya que somos incapaces de medirla en esos términos. Pero cuando pensamos profundamente, especialmente cuando queremos actuar en forma preventiva éste enunciado teórico es el marco de, referencia más importante que debemos seguir para realizar eficiente y eficazmente las acciones de salud.
