More than a decade that Peru made a commitment to reach a level of health for Peruvians in 2000 that allows us a socially and economically productive level. Within this context, albeit some countries on the continent have already achieved many of the objectives proposed by the Region of the Americas, we are far from achieving and according to the evolution of the facts and the missing years to finish the century is reasonable to accept that lack a greater commitment and effort in excess of that has been making to date to deal with this noble challenge.
Hace más de una década que el Perú adquirió el compromiso de alcanzar un nivel de salud para los peruanos en el año 2000 que nos permita un nivel social y económicamente productivo. Dentro de este contexto, si bien es cierto algunos países del continente ya han alcanzado muchos de los objetivos propuestos por la Región de las Américas, nosotros estamos muy lejos de lograrlo y de acuerdo a la evolución de los hechos y a los años que faltan para terminar el siglo es razonable aceptar que falta un mayor compromiso y esfuerzo, superiores a los que se viene efectuando hasta la fecha a fin de hacer frente a este noble desafío.
