When obstetric emergencies are not treated adequately and in a timely manner, they represent the main cause of maternal morbidity and mortality in the world and, above all, in developing countries. It is important that every gynecologist is prepared to face potential hemorrhagic emergencies, establishing early warning systems, designing early responses and meetings of medical staff to identify the strengths and opportunities of the service provided.
Cuando las emergencias obstétricas no son tratadas adecuada y oportunamente, representan la causa principal de morbimortalidad materna en el mundo y, sobre todo, en los países en vías de desarrollo. Es importante que todo ginecoobstetra esté preparado para afrontar las potenciales emergencias hemorrágicas, estableciendo sistemas de alerta tempranas, diseñando respuestas precoces y reuniones del staff médico para identificar las fortalezas y oportunidades del servicio que se brinda.
