It points out that the prevention and control involves prenatal education for women from adolescence, to have a comprehensive orientation physical, mental and socially preparing for pregnancy. Emphasis is placed on early diagnosis, using the anamnesis, clinical examination and laboratory. Periodic monitoring at different parameters, particularly fetal growth, blood pressure, weight, proteinuria, etc. Advice on the first visit and subsequent controls; hygienic dietary regime. Considerations duration of pregnancy and fetal maturity. Prematurity and growth retardation. Post-term pregnancy and maturity. Bleeding of the first or second half of pregnancy. Fetal abnormalities and heritage. Similarly, consideration of hemolytic disease of the newborn, hypertension in pregnancy. Finally, considerations on high-risk pregnancy, physiological aspects of pregnancy and labor induction.
Se puntualiza que el control prenatal implica prevención y educación de la mujer desde la adolescencia, para que tenga una orientación integral preparándola física, psíquica y socialmente para el embarazo. Se hace hincapié en el diagnóstico precoz, valiéndose de la anamnesis, examen clínico y de laboratorio. El control periódico en sus distintos parámetros, especialmente crecimiento fetal, presión arterial, peso, proteinuria, etc. Consejos en la primera visita y controles posteriores; régimen higiénico dietético. Consideraciones sobre duración del embarazo y madurez fetal. Prematurez y retardo del crecimiento. Embarazo prolongado y post madurez. Hemorragias de la primera o segunda mitad del embarazo. Anomalías del feto y su herencia. Igualmente, consideraciones sobre enfermedad hemolítica del recién nacido, hipertensión en el embarazo. Finalmente, consideraciones sobre embarazo de alto riesgo, aspectos fisiológicos del embarazo e inducción del parto.
