The Peruvian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1977 meet the 50 years since its foundation. Date important to keep in mind and call us to a deep reflection What are being met with the likely purpose of its founding? I think when ginecoobstetras five decades ago had the bright idea of founding our Society to fight for the development and progress of this specialty, standardize the binomial mother-child care, other colleagues show achievements in the field, the discuss diagnostic and therapeutic procedures were trying to create a Peruvian school of our specialty, and that's due to the tenacious and sacrificing work of those who now exercise teaching, likely many students of our founders.
La Sociedad Peruana de Obstetricia y Ginecología cumplirá en 1977 los 50 años de su fundación. Fecha importante a tener presente y que nos llamará a una profunda reflexión ¿Se están cumpliendo con los probables propósitos de sus fundadores? Creo que cuando los ginecoobstetras de hace cinco décadas tuvieron la brillante idea de fundar nuestra Sociedad para luchar por el desarrollo y Progreso de esta especialidad, normatizar la atención del binomio madre- niño, mostrar a los demás colegas los logros alcanzados en la especialidad, al discutir procedimientos diagnósticos y terapéuticos estaban tratando de crear una escuela peruana de nuestra especialidad, y eso es debido a la labor tesonera y sacrificada de quienes ahora ejercen docencia, probablemente muchos de ellos alumnos de nuestros socios fundadores.
