Knowledge management and information and communication technologies (ICTs) in mechanical engineering students

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between knowledge management and information and communication technologies (ICTs), based on the quantitative approach and the deductive hypothetical method, with a basic type of research. The executed research design was non-experimental. The survey technique was used and two instruments applied to knowledge management and ICTs were developed as instruments, with the reliability values ​​of 0.929 and 0.869 respectively. The results of the investigation determined that there is a direct relationship between knowledge management and ICTs with a value of 830 for the Spearman correlation coefficient, confirming that there is a significant relationship between both variables in a sample of 154 students. It was concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge management and information and communication technologies among students of the specialty of mechanical engineering at a particular university in Lima.
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre gestión del conocimiento y las tecnologías de la información y comunicación (TICs), basándose en el enfoque cuantitativo y el método hipotético deductivo, con un tipo de investigación básica. El diseño de investigación ejecutado fue no experimental. Se empleó la técnica de encuesta y como instrumentos se desarrollaron dos cuestionarios aplicados sobre gestión del conocimiento y TICs, con los valores de confiabilidad de 0,929 y 0,869 respectivamente. Los resultados de la investigación determinaron que existe una relación directa entre gestión del conocimiento y las TICs con un valor de ,830 para el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman corroborándose que existe relación significativa entre ambas variables en una muestra de 154 estudiantes. Se concluyó que existe relación entre la gestión del conocimiento y las tecnologías de la información y comunicación entre los estudiantes de la especialidad de ingeniería mecánica en una universidad particular de Lima.
