Internet and quality standards of learning in Natural Sciences in a school in Arenillas

This research work was carried out with the objective of demonstrating how the use of the internet affects the quality standards of learning in the area of ​​Natural Sciences of the students of the 5th year, Arenillas High School, Province of Oro-Ecuador. It is a descriptive level investigation and assumes the correlational design. The population and sample consisted of 92 members of the mentioned institution. Two instruments were applied: the survey technique and the instrument the structured questionnaire to measure the first variable; The other measuring instrument was an evaluation of the students to measure the quality standards of the area of ​​natural sciences. To measure the correlation that exists between these two variables, the Pearson ratio coefficient was used, which shows that there is a correlation of 0.857, which shows that there is a significant incidence between the use of the internet and the quality standards of Learning in the studied population. Then, it is stated with a level of confidence of 95% that significant incidence between both variables, therefore, the use of the internet improves student learning.
El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó con el objetivo de demostrar cómo el uso de internet incide en los estándares de calidad del aprendizaje del área de ciencias Naturales de los estudiantes del 5to año, colegio del Bachillerato Arenillas, Provincia del Oro- Ecuador. Es una investigación de nivel descriptivo y asume el diseño correlacional. La población y muestra estuvo conformada por 92 miembros de la mencionada institución. Se aplicaron dos instrumentos: la técnica de la encuesta y el instrumento el cuestionario estructurado para medir la primera variable; el otro instrumento de medición fue una evaluación a los estudiantes para medir los estándares de calidad del área de ciencias naturales. Para medir la correlación que existe entre estas dos variables, se utilizó el coeficiente de relación de Pearson, en el que se observa que existe una correlación de 0.857, donde demuestra que existe una incidencia significativa entre el uso del internet y los estándares de calidad de aprendizaje en la población estudiada. Entonces, se afirma con un nivel de confianza del 95% que incidencia significativa entre ambas variables, por ende, el uso del internet mejora el aprendizaje de los estudiantes.
