Scale (5- 15%), cement (30-50%), gypsum (15-25%), rubber (10%) and paper sludge (10-20%) formulations were designed. Plates were characterized by: Brinell test (hardness, brittleness and compaction), density, heat capacity, shear strength, screw pump test, resistance to freeze / thaw and combustibility test. 8 of the 31 formulations tested had excellent physical properties and can be used in building construction. The research demonstrates the feasibility of manufacturing fiber cement board good quality, satisfactory to the construction industry at low cost.En el Perú se generan 140,000 y 13,000 TM/año de cascarilla de arroz y desechos de la Industria papelera respectivamente, sin valor comercial y sin uso industrial. Se determinaron las cenizas del papel empleado (63.47 ± 0.805% b.s.) y un análisis químico-proximal de la cascarilla (humedad: 8.51%, cenizas: 20.71%, extracto etéreo: 0.73%, proteína bruta: 1.59%, fibra bruta: 39.75% y carbohidratos: 28.71% b.s.). Se diseñaron formulaciones: cascarilla (5-15%), cemento (30-50%), yeso (15-25%), goma (10%) y lodos de papel (10-20%). Se caracterizaron las placas según: prueba Brinell (dureza, fragilidad y compactación), densidad, capacidad térmica, resistencia al cizallamiento, prueba de extracción de tornillo, resistencia al hielo/deshielo y la prueba de incombustibilidad. 8 de las 31 formulaciones probadas obtuvieron excelentes propiedades físicas y pueden ser empleadas en la construcción de edificaciones.
