In recent decades there has been an increase in degradation of Nature; as a result environmental education has become a necessity. This investigation intends not only to raise awareness to stop developments, but also to provoke inthe human being a search for better ways and alternative developments that won’t harm nature. Thus, the activities in nature are a physical sportive practice, sustainable as long as its development contributes positively to maintain the well being of those who practice it and the quality of life of mountain populations. Such activities are a tool for the educator and can be used to promote and publicize attitudes and behaviors of respect for natural environments. Therefore, the school becomes an ideal place to promote energy awareness and inspire changes in the student behavior.
