Transportation is the sector that has contributed the most to the generation of greenhouse gases (GHG) in Peru, representing 40% of energy-related emissions. For this purpose, it is necessary to promote the energy transition as a process to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and increase the use of renewable energy resources (RER) in this sector. The challenge consists in electrification, and in an electrical matrix based mainly on the RERs.
