The Mochica culture developed between 100 B.C. to 750 A.D. In this article, the authors present and describe two ceramics of the Mochica culture in which theyhave identified an adolescent with facies typical of Down syndrome.

In this article, the authors describe some historical data that demonstrate the existence of neurological diseases suffered by the aborigines of Ancient Peru. They also explain the methods they used in the treatment of these diseases.

In this monograph, the authors present the existence of obesity among the aborigines of ancient Peru. As evidence of the existence of this disease, in addition to the ethnohistoric source bequeathed to us by the Indian chronicler Guamán Poma, they present precious ceramics of ancient Peruvian cultures in which characters with obesity are represented.

In this article the authors highlight the presence of polydactyly among the aborigines of ancient Peru. They show photographs of splendid ceramics recovered from tombs of ancient Peruvian cultures, which are testimony of the presence of polydactyly in the ancient aborigines; that is, more than five fingers or toes, unilateral or bilateral.
