In this work, we present some numerical results about the problem of a rising hot solid sphere immersed in a Newtonian fluid which viscosity depends on the temperature. The model formulated to solve the problem considers two dimensionless parameters: The Peclet number, Pe and a parameter related with the viscosity, e. Small and large variations on e lead to interesting results segregated into two regimes which exhibit an asymptotic structure.To carry out the computations to solve the proposed model, the element finite method was used along with a non-slip boundary condition for the contact surface between the sphere and the fluid and the results obtained were compared to those shown recently in papers related wherein contact surface has a slip-boundary condition prescribed.

The kudzu seeds (Pueraria phaseoloides), a species of vital importance for the implementation of tropicalpastures in the jungle of Peru, they are characterized by latency and to overcome this problem,dierent types of scarication are recommended. The treatments studied to overcome latency in kudzuseeds were sulfuric acid (98 %), potassium nitrate (0, 2 %), sulfuric acid (98 %), potassium nitrate(0, 2 %), water, mechanical scarication (sandpaper) and one control with four repetitions, and 24experimental units, each experimental unit consisted of 400 seeds. La investigación de nuevos elementos se traduce en este estudio, donde la fibra de Basalto adicionada al concreto, buscara afrontar ciertas patologías frente a los suelos salinos del distrito costero de Ventanilla, de diseño fue experimental, enfoque cuantitativo, nivel descriptivo, muestreo no probabilístico, elaborando 120 probetas, con la muestra matriz con cemento tipo V y las otras con cemento Tipo I adicionadas con fibra de basalto en 1%, 1.5% y 2% respecto al volumen de cemento, con asentamientos de 3” y 3.5”, demostrando trabajabilidad. This article presents the problem of defining the concept of “competence”, due to it being an integral and complex term that has been applied in many domains as well as in a more general sense for everyday life. However, no doubt, a competence can only be tested and valuated in the practice, and it is a person who becomes competent in a context for a certain function. This is why there are many different conceptions in the literature regarding this issue; it’s a consequence of its imprecise, variable character. However, the position profiles (mainly in educational entities) and the acceptation/ graduation profiles are being more and more frequently established in terms of competences.
