En este trabajo de investigación se reportó un estudio cuyo objetivo fue analizar la relación existente entre percepción del estudiante sobre las competencias docentes y satisfacción estudiantil. Se presentó un estudio correlacional en el cual participaron 108 estudiantes de la Facultad de Ciencias Contables y financieras de la Universidad de Ciencias y Humanidades. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron la Escala sobre la percepción de los estudiantes sobre las competencias docentes (Acevedo y Fernández, 2004) y Cuestionario para evaluación de satisfacción académica. Los resultados evidencian que existe relación significativa entre la percepción estudiantil de la competencia docente y satisfacción estudiantil.
