The current situation on the global education market bears the need for new approaches to learning Russian as a foreign language. The innovation concerns both professors and students’ activity. The success in comprehension of scientific language is largely dependent on students’ motivation to study the vocation-related language. The article covers the methodological basis of the approach which may improve preparatory department students’ motivation to study.

Russia's advancement on the world education market is one of the foreign policy challenges. The pre-university stage is the milestone for the professional development of a foreign student. Such stage is of paramount importance for the Russia's integration into the world education market. Since the pre-university stage has been the first stage of training in the Russian education system, it should be a specific focal point for the educational service provider. Based on the footprint of pre-university education, foreigners shall have an understanding with respect to the educational system of a country the language whereof is studied.

The article strives to analyze, systematize and consolidate the findings of empirical research into career orientations of Russian youth through the prism of E. Schein’s anchor conception and on the basis of the various versions of his questionnaire. It was revealed that career orientations in adolescence are characterized by low differentiation, declarative nature, low awareness and contradiction. The article shows that youth career anchors are conditioned by such factors as the year of training, gender, training orientation and type of occupation. Female students are generally inclined towards stability, career-family balance and orientation to service, while male students or, in a broader scope, those with masculine-type personality put more value on management.

This article considers the features of the education market formation. It is shown that the undoubted leaders by number of foreigners involved in educational projects are Western European countries (Germany, France, Great Britain) and North American countries (USA and Canada).  Currently, the world education market reflects the patterns of interaction between producers, providers and users of educational services.
