The general objective of this research work was to determine the influence of the cutting season on the carbon capture and photosynthetic efficiency of Canavalia ensiformes in Zungarococha, Iquitos. The study is of the experimental type; DBCA was applied with four treatments and three repetitions. The study population consisted of 480 plants, distributed in 12 beds with an area of 10 m2. As conclusions of the work, it is reported: the cutting season influences the variables under study, where T3 (cut at the 12th week) had positive effects on carbon capture and photosynthetic efficiency, with averages of (100 g/m2 and 5.7 % respectively) being statistically superior to the other treatments, concerning the hypothesis raised, this is accepted.
