ABSTRACT This research aimed got the purpose to know in what level the paraphrasing technique works on the comprehension of math problems of the second grade students of Santa Edelmira high school, 2018. This experimental research with a quasi-experimental design over a control group of 21 students and an experimental group of 22 students who were selected via a non-probabilistic and convenience sampling. A comprehension of math problems test was applied in both groups. The experimental group experienced a 10-sesion program of paraphrasing techniques. The findings of the pre-test points out that most of the students got 50% shows a lower level, 36% a medium level and 9% a good level. Then, the findings of the pos-test points out 100% of the students show a very good leve of comprehension of math problems.
