The research was carried out with the population of the city of Nauta, province of Loreto, Loreto region, with the purpose of identifying and visualizing the environmental infractions and the sanctioning mechanisms applied. It is a quantitative investigation of the non-experimental, descriptive, analytical, horizontal type. Secondary information from the records of environmental infractions and administrative sanctions of the Environmental Management Unit of the Municipality of Loreto-Nauta was used. The population is made up of 100 percent of the inhabitants of the city of Nauta and the representative sample was determined by natural or legal persons who register environmental violations during the years from 2018 to 2022.
