The objective was to determine the sociodemographic, pathological and health care variables associated with nosocomial infections in patients treated at the Regional Hospital of Loreto Iquitos from 2018 to 2020. The method was quantitative with a non-experimental, descriptive, correlational and retrospective design. The population and sample were made up of 67 nosocomial infection report sheets from patients treated in emergency, surgery, medicine and gynecology. The technique was the documentary review and the instruments were the sociodemographic, pathological and health care data sheet in patients with nosocomial infection and the identification record sheet of the type of nosocomial infection.
