A comparative statistical study of the incidence of fatal hepatitis ( massive hepatic necrosis ) , liver cirrhosis and primary liver cancer , has been done in the autopsies on the " Archbishop Loayza" Hospital, for the period November 1961 to August 1966. The incidence of these diseases in this hospital during the indicated period compared with that found in the same hospital in previous autopsy series . We have found that in the last 20 years there was a progressive increase in the incidence of fatal viral hepatitis deaths ( massive hepatic necrosis) of 0.06 % to 2.4 %. We believe that this increase could be related to the development , in the same period of unhealthy marginal areas of the city. We also found that the predominant type of cirrhosis among us is the post- necrotic (52.8 %) , which possibly is related to the high incidence of hepatitis. Finally we find that the proportional...

96 cases diagnosed as "ectopic pregnancies salpíngeos", belonging to the archives of the Institute of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine UNMSM, in the Loayza Hospital. Were studied histologically, retrospectively Sixty of these cases had used medical records. In the group of the most common injuries was pure follicular chronic Salpingitis with 22 cases (22.9%) followed in order of frequency simple chronic salpingitis with 18 cases (18.8%) and finally the isthmic salpingitis nodosa with 16 cases (16.6% ). Among the classified as "mixed" the highest percentage corresponded to cases in which concomitant lesions such nodosa follicular isthmus and chronic Salpingitis Salpingitis was 6 cases (6.3%), following cases of isthmic nodosa Chronic Salpingitis Salpingitis and simple: 3 cases (3.1%). This work shows the importance of the inflammatory lesions salpíngeas in the genesis of tubal ectopic pre...

The authors studied 10 cases of the so-called "koilocitoticatypia" from the files of the Institute of Pathology of the Medical School of San Fernando in Loayza Hospital, Lima. Two different histological patterns of this lesion were described, which probably correspond to different phases of evolution. It was determined the cytological picture corresponding to this lesion which shows a main percentage of atypical intermediate cells, some of them with clear cytoplasmic vacuolization.

The authors have studied the degree of histopathological correlation between biopsic and cytological examinations of displasias of the cervix. They found the counting of the total number of atypical cells is a very long procedure of little practical utility. More useful was the differentia percentual counting of the typical cells divided in four groups: basal, parabasal, intermediates and superficials. The measurement af the cellular and nuclear diameters showed that the displasias exist and increase of the cellular surface area. In the nuclear areas no significative variations were found. In the displasias the nuclear cromatines had a moderately irregular appearance while in the cases of carcinoma "in situ" the nuclear chromatin had a gross, irregular aspect In the cases of displasia and carcinoma "in situ" the cytological picture was of a diminished percent of intermediate cells with a...

We have found corresponding hysterectomy specimens performed as an emergency treatment before ginecorragias massive, post produced electro-cauterization or post cervical biopsy, vascular lesions, which we would importnacia in its genesis. We study the morphology of these changes and discuss the patogenesos in the light of current knowledge, associated with geenral fenónemo of vasculitides.
