The following research had evaluated the properties of compressive strength, volumetric shrinkage, erosive wear and water saturation durability in soil mortars, made of two types of sand, and many additions of polyvinyl acetate (PVA) as stabilizing agent, for the elaboration of mud mortars used as sacrificial floors in the Archaeological Project Huaca del sol y la Luna. Knowing the different pathologies presented in the archaeological monuments based on clay soil (such as cracks, abrasive wear, contractions, etc.), it has been considered to stabilize the mortars that will be used as part of conservation work during interventions such as floor protection archaeological.
