El estudio tiene como meta, establecer la relación que existe entre los estilos de crianza y el rendimiento académico. La metodología empleada para alcanzar los objetivos contempla un estudio de tipo básico con un diseño correlacional. En la recolección de información se utilizó la Escala de Estilos de Crianza de Steinberg y la libreta de notas para medir el rendimiento académico. La muestra con la cual se trabajo fue de 192 alumnos del 3ero, 4to y 5to año de secundaria de la institución educativa Cesar Vallejo 7069 del distrito de San Juan de Miraflores. Los resultados indican una correlación estadísticamente significativa entre la dimensión control conductual y el rendimiento académico mas no en la dimensión compromiso ni en la dimensión autonomía psicológica. The paper discusses the contributions that science has made to the understanding of manthroughout history and highlights its methodological limitations that prevent it fromaddressing exclusively human aspects. That aspect is the body, understood by science as aset of organs that respond to stimuli; however, this is not exhausted in the purely objective,but transcends it. In this sense, phenomenological postulates allow us to understand theexperience of the body in a different way. To this end, the proposals of the French philosopherMaurice Merleau-Ponty are analyzed. Finally, we reflect on the contributions of his thoughtto psychopathology.
