Although there are many studies on Andean religion and rites, few researchers have deemed it appropriate to analyze Andean ideology as a whole. Undoubtedly, this is a difficult task, but part or later it will have to be done. The present work is an attempt in that direction. To achieve this, we have chosen to analyze Andean ideology through the chronicle of Santa Cruz Pachacuti Yamqui (1613). We could have chosen other chroniclers, especially other autochthonous chroniclers, such as Guamán Poma, Garcilaso, etc... but like others (Millions: s/f), it seemed to us that the narration of Santa Cruz Pachacuti contains very rich information about Andean ideology and that this information has been very little studied.
