The aim of the present investigation was to determine the effect of Biocholine on the quality of milk and the productive performance of dairy cows before and after delivery. 60 cows in prepartum were randomized into: treatment with protected choline (TCP) or control and treatment with biocholine (TB), with 30 repetitions each; TCP received 0,06 kg/cow/day of protected choline and TB received 0,02 kg/cow/day of biocholine. The biocholine was mixed to a premix, finally adding to the fully mixed ration (RTM). Colostrum production, and milk production were evaluated in three daily milkings for 60 days; weight and size of the calf at birth, percentages of fat, protein and non-fatty solids (SNG).
