Introducción: El abordaje del dolor durante una cita odontológica es un desafío al que se enfrentan constantemente los odontopediatras, especialmente durante procedimientos que requieren de colocación de anestesia dental local. La aplicación de anestesia tópica sobre mucosa oral puede disminuir la percepción del dolor, mejorando la relación entre el niño y el profesional.
