Objective: Describe the experience of the nurse in the face of the pediatric patient death. Method: Qualitative, phenomenological research. The information collection was carried out through a phenomenological interview with a guiding question formulated in a focus group, the experience of 19 nurses from the Hospital de Especialidades del Niño y la Mujer was collected. The analysis was carried out with the content analysis technique, in a traditional way, so no software was used for it.
