El objetivo de este informe es Identificar los Diagnósticos frecuentes de pacientes que requieren Nutrición Parenteral Total (NPT) internados en el Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen durante el periodo Setiembre 2011-Marzo 2012. Se utilizó las historias clínicas de los pacientes y consignó los datos paciente-diagnóstico y días de utilización de NPT. Los diagnósticos frecuentes que requirieron NPT fueron: Enfermedades Oncológicas (Tumor maligno del estómago y Leucemia linfoblástica aguda, obtuvieron el 8,33%); Intervenciones Quirúrgicas (fístulas gastrointestinales el 11%); Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (Pancreatitis Aguda Crónica el 13,89%) y en Neonatología (Prematuros el 11,1%). During the last decade, the importance of glycemic control in preventing various diseases, mainly diabetes mellitus, has been clearly demonstrated.
