The rapid technological evolution of laparoscopic and robotic surgical systems, together with the emergence ofnovel and highly effective antineoplastic therapies-driven by rigorous basic and clinical research-and a refinedunderstanding of surgical anatomy, is continuously reshaping oncologic surgical techniques. This transformation ischaracterized by the implementation of increasingly individualized neoadjuvant protocols, tailored to specific tumorbiology and patient profiles. These strategies have enabled the conversion of initially unresectable or borderline resectablegastrointestinal tumors into resectable disease, amenable to standardized surgical resection techniques based on highcentral vascular ligation and complete mesenteric excision, consistent with the organ's embryological origin.

OBJETIVO: Evaluar si la administración de nutrición enteral precoz en el post operatorio de los pacientes gastrectomizados por cáncer gástrico contribuye a disminuir la frecuencia de complicaciones post operatorias. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: Se realizó un estudio de casos y controles con 120 pacientes,60 con complicaciones post-operatorias (casos) y 60 pacientes sin complicaciones postoperatorias (controles), pareados por edad y sexo.RESULTADOS: El análisis univariado, encontró que albúmina (p=0.03), hematocrito (p=0.004), nutrición enteral precoz (p<0.01), estadío del cáncer gástrico (p=0.013) se comportaron como variables asociadas al desarrollo de complicaciones post-operatorias; sin embargo, en el análisis múltivariado, sólo la nutrición enteral precoz (p=0.014), nivel de hematocrito (0.019) y estadio anatomopatológico (0.013) mostraron asociación estadíst...

The growth of Tetraselmis suecica was evaluated. The experiment was realized using the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) with Central Composite Rotational Design (CCRD) with two factors, pH and sanguaza/seawater concentration in the range of 7 - 9 and 2 - 5 % (v/v), respectively. The culture media were stirred by bubbling air constantly (0.07 L/s) and continuously illuminated with 40 W of fluorescent light in glass containers of 1.5 L capacity at a temperature of 22.5 ± 2.1 °C. Using the Gompertz mathematical model was determined that from an 8.0 of pH and a ratio of 3.5% of sanguaza/seawater, the Tetraselmis suecica achieves maximum growth. An 8.71 of pH and a ratio of 4.56% of sanguaza/seawater allow the Tetraselmis suecica maximum growth (logN/N0) of 0.659, with a 12.3% of prediction error by applying a mathematical model of 2nd order. Chenopodium quinoa es un fitorecurso andino con gran variedad genética y que posee alto valor agronómico-nutritivo, aunque el contenido de saponina otorga un sabor amargo que limita su comercialización; sin embargo, la saponina puede ser aprovechada en otros usos. El presente trabajo evalúa el aprovechamiento del agua de lavado de quinua como fuente de saponina y su empleo como insecticida. La cuantificación de saponina se realizó empleando el método afrosimétrico. La saponina extraída no hidrolizada se identificó mediante cromatografía de capa fina. Para evaluar la natalidad de individuos de D. melanogaster, se les expuso a distintas concentraciones de saponina: 0,1%, 0,4%, 0,7% y 0,9%; así como controles positivo (bórax) y negativo.
