OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the usefulness and predictive capacity cerebroplacentaria ratio (CPR) as a diagnostic test for adverse perinatal outcomes (RPA) in high-risk pregnant women. DESIGN: A prospective longitudinal study with pulsed Doppler velocimetry in fetal umbilical and cerebral arteries was performed. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 72 pregnant women at high risk were selected, between 28 and 41 weeks, excluding patients with multiple pregnancy and fetal congenital anomaly. Objetivos. Determinar si la adolescencia constituye un factor de riesgo para el desarrollo de complicaciones obstétricas y perinatales. Métodos. Estudio epidemiológico de Casos y Controles, realizado en el Servicio de obstetricia del Hospital de Apoyo Moquegua MINSA durante el año 2016. Se incluyeron 158 adolescentes y 490 adultas; se excluyeron gestantes con patología materna no obstétrica o con patología malformativa fetal. Se estableció si el embarazo adolescente constituía un factor de riesgo de complicaciones obstétricas y perinatales, mediante el cálculo del Odds Ratio (OR). Resultados. La frecuencia de embarazo en adolescentes fue 24%. La edad materna media fue 17.37 años en adolescentes y 26.10 años en adultas.
