ABSTRACT We report the case of a 36-year-old woman with severe abnormal uterine bleeding and secondary anemia, diagnosed with a likely acquired uterine arteriovenous malformation (UAVM) after cesarean section. Diagnosis was suggested by Doppler ultrasound and confirmed by pathology after hysterectomy. UAVMs, though rare, are potentially life-threatening and have increased due to intrauterine interventions. Management depends on hemodynamic stability, reproductive desire, and available resources, and may include medical therapy, arterial embolization, or surgery. The patient recovered favorably after definitive surgical treatment. This case highlights the importance of timely diagnosis in persistent abnormal uterine bleeding.
