"The fundamentalist sects are advancing," denounced the Archbishop of La Paz at the end of 1987. In fact, they cannot be overlooked: the same in the smallest hamlets as in the marginal neighborhoods of the big cities, neighborhoods that are growing rapidly Increasingly, you see those little, well-painted churches with names like "Assembly of God," "Christ is the Answer," "Seventh-day Adventist Church," etc. The believers of the Protestant religious communities meet there. They are people young and old, men and women, who convert to these "new churches", to the "sects", and who often meet several times a week to celebrate divine worship.
