Objective: Identify the causes for discontinuation of temporary contraceptive methods in students from a University of Lima, Peru. Material and methods: Descriptive and cross-sectional study, realized in obstetric students from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos that discontinued the use of the last contraceptive method. The sample was made up of 51 university students. Relative and absolute frequencies were estimated; also, the differences between analysis groups were made using the Chi Square Test (x2) or Fisher’s Test. Results: The age range is between 19 to 24 years old (76,5%) and the single marital status prevailed (98%). The most frequent contraceptive method was preservative (41,2%), followed by the quarterly injectable (25,5%). Introduction. Virtual obstetric psychoprophylaxis enhances prenatal care by improving maternal and neonatal health outcomes. Objectives. To evaluate virtual obstetric psychoprophylaxis and its association with maternal and perinatal outcomes. Methods. An observational, descriptive, and correlational study was conducted at the EsSalud Aurelio Díaz Ufano Hospital (Lima, Peru) from September 2020 to September 2021. A total of 132 nulliparous pregnant women without comorbidities were included, divided into two groups: 66 who received virtual psychoprophylaxis and 66 who did not. Non-probabilistic convenience sampling was applied. Data were collected from electronic medical records and labor ward logs.
